the far sight of it
the long pull of fate
as to how it will begin

or from the veins to the drain
or in the folds of a face
growing old and thin

on what i thought was nothing but
a normal afternoon

see the birds in the tree

and the space between the leaves

or could i find it again?
is it a sane thing to think

to feel how temporary
are all the very things
