five years 03:33
rising thermals a boil of terns searching for a new way but i can't see straight it's coming near me it's already too late all the plans in mind have built quite rational delusions that all essential pieces stay the same but by the time we're back at the beginning of the turning every face has become strange downward spirals time in circles we will find returning and again the sequence of our days the science of our fate well beyond discerning but old signs bubble up into your visions of the future where you could never see a thing anyway so never mind the seeming need for well-explained conclusions when you find yourself in the same place again
2.
out late walking by the windows homes and people roses and nettles like salt on highways and fog on calm lakes it's ever-changing but same as always people resting and people talking and empty rooms with fires smoldering all around the heat of a thousand stories coming up close now you tell me one with meaning i'll be listening

opened up 03:18
caught upon a nail and fallen, oh, wide opened up and on the flows that trail the sun side better where some failed measure goes closely followed surrounded with understanding but sad on my own though they seem so symbolic, no they're just common doves no way around it sigh and let it all in it may seem deafening trust it's slowly quieting

i don't walk the same i don't know how to relate but i can sing without shame i never agreed to this game and i don't know how to play what are we trying to make and like all natural things keep lifting up each new beginning no need to tell them how to grow they just know i don't repeat the phrase i wouldn't want to be fake so i don't even say anything but i still know what you mean i see it well in your face and in your other peculiar ways and like all natural things keep lifting up each new beginning no need to tell them how to grow they just know be like the flocks each season gathering strength to journey home no need to tell them where to go they just know be like the rushing rivers waiting to join the greater flow no need to tell them where to go they just know be like the rising treetops searching for sun to feel its glow no need to tell them where to go they just know be like the roots' long fingers feeling the earth to learn to grow no need to tell them where to go they just know i'll strive to be close and to hold you tight enough that the first thing you know is how well you are loved oh the dream of the places i'll go with you someday whether i must leave or stay know i'll be with you always yes i'll try to be near and to hold you tight enough so the first thing you know my dear is how well you are loved
5.
stargazing all day long new visions coming in strong all filled with images from distant unnamed planets and even though we're always late and even though we've made mistakes no matter how we formulate it's good enough what we've become out late walking by the windows homes and people roses and nettles salt on highways and fog on calm lakes it's ever-changing but same as always and even though we're always late and even though we've made mistakes it hasn't gone entirely it's still enough what we have made only one chance with each moment don't play dumb holding on to what once wasn't this what we agreed to always know these arms hope to reach you find a target keep eyes on it blur along the lines of what will come is this fit to take us home well no it's just what i'd been thinking of
